Sermon From New City Church - February 13, 2022. This first century biography shows us how God became the Servant King and is establishing His kingdom on earth — all through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Mark’s story of Jesus is deeply shaped by the exodus event of the Jewish people when God rescued them from bondage in Egypt. Jesus saw what He was doing as the new and final exodus for God’s people. This means that Jesus delivers his people out of bondage and into freedom, He is reveals who God truly is, and He leads us on the way to the Promised Land.
